Various Cut Stones

Unusual Opal and Other Stones.

Here are some very unusual forms of opal, as well as a collection of other stones
that I've cut while trying to keep my hands off of the good stuff :)

The next few stones are from a very interesting mother.
Originally from Andamooka, and supposed to be 'matrix' that could be cooked.
It turned out to be completely hard opal inside, and what appears to be
a very large opalized Egg ! -- ( the back side )

It was sliced in two, and one side was cut into stones.
The un-cut side has a large area of very nice crystal, and you can see
in the base material what appears to be the albumin and yolk of the original egg.

Possibly an opalized Egg ?
